As with some/many inexpensive microscopes, this one inverts and reverses the image. If you're ok with that, it's actually a surprisingly decent product-especially for the price. One very handy and useful feature that wasn't mentioned init's description, is the ability to swing the LED light source itself, [this one is a very directional light source] through an arc, which allows you to work within at least a 30 degree range of sidelighting or to use it in a position that illuminates from more directly above the viewed object.
