2 15/16 inch Cube Steel Dapping Block.

Dapping blocks are used to form metal into a dome shape. Any bendable metal can be used. Common uses are for coins, sheet metals, bottle caps, and more.
The dapping block is used in conjunction with a dapping punch, sold separately.
Simply put the item to be formed into the appropriately sized dapping indent. Tap on the dapping punch with a haer until you have the shape you desire.
Note: it can be helpful to perform other operations, such as hole drilling, cutting, or engraving prior to dapping.
Sizes of holes range from about 1/8 inch to about 1/2 inch.

Body portions may have some light rust which will not affect performance.
